Detection Foundations

Build your dog’s skills from the ground up with our Detection Foundations program — designed for dogs and handlers wanting to learn scent detection, nosework, scent work training, and detection dog foundations.

This program includes 5 x private training sessions plus 5 class sessions for auditing purposes (Tuesdays @ 6:30pm), giving you and your dog the perfect pathway to develop the skills required before entering our full detection class environment.

Over this 5-week program, you will learn the foundations of professional detection work training, including how to introduce odour, build independent searching, develop indication behaviours, improve handler communication, and create a confident working dog.

By the end of the program, your dog will be confidently searching for and locating target odour and will have developed the foundation skills required to progress into our ongoing nosework and scent detection classes.
