Terms, Policies & Liability Waiver

Welcome to Dog Club SA. By booking, purchasing, or participating in any of our training programs, services, or memberships (“Services”), you agree to the following Terms, Policies, and Liability Waiver.
1. General Terms
- All bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability.

By engaging our Services, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age or are supervised by a parent/guardian.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your dog at all times.
- Dog Club SA reserves the right to refuse or cancel Services where safety, welfare, or operational concerns arise.
2. Health & Safety Requirements
For the safety of all dogs, handlers, and staff:
- Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations (C5 or equivalent).
- Dogs must not attend if unwell or showing signs of contagious illness.
- You must inform us of any medical or behavioural changes that may affect participation.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog that does not meet these requirements.
3. Bookings, Cancellations & Payments
Bookings
- All sessions, programs, and memberships must be paid in accordance with the agreed terms (including direct debit where applicable).
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Late cancellations or missed sessions may result in forfeiture of the session.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Memberships (if applicable)
- Memberships may operate on a fixed-term basis (e.g. 8 weeks) and may automatically continue unless cancelled.
- Early cancellation may incur fees in line with your agreement.
- Failed or dishonoured payments may incur administrative fees.
The following terms apply in addition to the general terms above. By booking a specific service, you agree to the terms applicable to that service.
4. Training Commitment & Results
- You acknowledge that training results depend on consistency, participation, and owner engagement.
- You agree to follow trainer instructions and complete any recommended training exercises outside of sessions.
- Dog Club SA does not guarantee specific behavioural outcomes.
5. Behaviour Disclosure
You must disclose any known behavioural issues, including but not limited to:
- Aggression (towards dogs or people).
- Reactivity or anxiety.
- Bite history.
Failure to disclose relevant behavioural information may result in removal from Services without refund.
6. Code of Conduct
All members and participants must:
- Treat staff and other clients with respect.
- Follow all instructions provided by trainers.
- Refrain from aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour
Dog Club SA reserves the right to remove or ban any person who:
- Acts in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe manner.
- Fails to follow reasonable directions.
- Creates a risk to people, dogs, or staff
7. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that dog training and handling involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Dog bites, scratches, or unpredictable behaviour.
- Injury to persons or animals.
- Property damage
You voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation in our Services.
8. Liability Waiver & Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- You release and indemnify Dog Club SA, its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, damage, or death arising from your participation in our Services.
- You accept full responsibility for your dog’s behaviour at all times.
- You agree to indemnify Dog Club SA against any claims made by third parties arising from your dog’s actions.
9. Service-Specific Terms
The following terms apply in addition to the general terms above. By booking a specific service, you agree to the terms applicable to that service.
Initial Assessment
- The Initial Assessment is a one-off session designed to evaluate your dog’s behaviour, temperament, and training history.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your dog, including any behavioural concerns, medical history, or previous incidents.
- The session may include observation, handling, and practical training exercises to assess your dog’s responses in real-time.
- You acknowledge that this session is used to identify the root cause of behaviours and determine the most appropriate training approach.
- You will receive guidance, recommendations, and a suggested training plan based on the assessment.
- You understand that this session is not a complete training program and results will depend on your ongoing participation and follow-through.
- Dog Club SA reserves the right to recommend alternative services, decline ongoing training, or modify the training pathway based on safety or suitability.
- For higher-risk dogs (including aggression cases), additional sessions or safety measures may be required before participation in group or structured programs.
Puppy School
- Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations (C5 or equivalent).
- You are responsible for supervising and handling your dog at all times during sessions.
- You acknowledge that puppy behaviour can be unpredictable and accept the risks associated with group training environments.
- You agree to follow all trainer instructions to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Missed sessions are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
- Total membership time is 8 weeks.
KickStart Training Package
- The Kickstart Package is a recurring weekly training program designed to build consistency, structure, and long-term results.
- By purchasing this package, you agree to a weekly subscription billed in accordance with your selected plan.
- You acknowledge that consistent attendance and participation are essential to achieving results.
- Sessions are delivered on a week-to-week basis and may include a combination of practical training, structured exercises, and handler education.
- You agree to follow all training instructions and complete any recommended work outside of sessions.
- Missed sessions are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or agreed at Dog Club SA’s discretion.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
- You acknowledge that results are dependent on your consistency, handling, and application of training outside of sessions.
- Dog Club SA does not guarantee specific behavioural outcomes.
- If your dog is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or disruptive to the training environment, Dog Club SA may suspend or remove your participation from the program.
- Subscription payments will continue until cancelled in accordance with the agreed terms.
- You are responsible for managing your subscription, including cancellations or changes, in line with the stated notice period.
- Dog Club SA reserves the right to modify class structure, scheduling, or delivery where required, with reasonable notice provided where possible.
Urbane Canine Academy
- You agree to adhere to all drop-off and pick-up times. Late collection may incur additional fees.
- Your dog must be suitable for a structured training environment and safe to handle by staff.
- You acknowledge that your dog may interact with other dogs and handlers during the course of training.
- You accept the risks associated with group care and training environments, including minor injuries, stress, or behavioural incidents.
- You authorise Dog Club SA to manage, handle, and train your dog using appropriate professional methods.
- If your dog is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for the environment, Dog Club SA may suspend or cancel participation without refund.
Private Training/Handling
- Private sessions are tailored to your individual dog and circumstances.
- You agree to provide accurate information to allow appropriate training strategies to be applied.
- You acknowledge that results depend on your consistency and follow-through outside of sessions.
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made in accordance with the general cancellation policy.
The Basics (ABC'S), StreetWise, Nose Works, Field Trip & Bite Work
- You must fully disclose any known behavioural issues, including aggression, reactivity, anxiety, or bite history prior to booking.
- You acknowledge that behaviour training involves working with dogs that may present a heightened risk to people, animals, and property.
- You accept that there is an increased risk of injury when participating in behaviour modification training.
- You agree to follow all safety instructions, handling protocols, and training guidelines provided by Dog Club SA.
- You acknowledge that failure to follow instructions may increase risk and may result in termination of the session without refund.
- You understand that no guarantees are made regarding behavioural outcomes.
- You accept full responsibility for your dog’s behaviour at all times, including outside of training sessions.
- By booking training services, you specifically acknowledge and accept the elevated risks associated with aggressive or reactive dogs.
10. Facility & Program Changes
- Dog Club SA may modify training schedules, classes, or programs where required.
- Where possible, alternative sessions will be offered.
- It is your responsibility to attend available sessions to complete your training.
11. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern:
- Contact us directly via phone or email.
- We will attempt to resolve the issue promptly.
- If required, a written response will be provided within a reasonable timeframe.
You agree not to make public or defamatory statements about Dog Club SA while a matter is being resolved.
12. Privacy
- Your personal information is handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
- Payment details are securely processed via third-party providers and are not stored by Dog Club SA.
- You are responsible for your privacy when participating in online sessions.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where permitted, our liability is limited to:
- Re-supplying the Services; or
- The cost of having the Services supplied again
14. Media Release & Marketing Consent
- By participating in Dog Club SA training sessions, programs, or services, you consent to photographs, videos, and recordings (“Media”) being taken of you and/or your dog during training.

You grant Dog Club SA a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and publish this Media for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes, including but not limited to:
- Social media platforms
- Website content
- Advertising and promotional materials - You understand that Media may include your dog, your likeness, voice, and participation in training activities.
- Dog Club SA will not intentionally use your full name or personal identifying information without your consent.
- If you do not wish to be included in any Media, you must notify Dog Club SA in writing prior to your session or participation.
- Where an opt-out request is received, Dog Club SA will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing or using your Media; however, you acknowledge that in group environments complete exclusion cannot always be guaranteed.
- You may withdraw your consent for future use of Media at any time by providing written notice. This will not apply to Media already published or in use.
15. Agreement
By booking or purchasing any Service, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms, Policies & Liability Waiver.
- You agree to be bound by them.
- You accept all risks associated with participation
